Clash of Titans: Fortnite Welcomes Godzilla!

Fortnite's Godzilla Rampage: Version 33.20 Arrives January 14th

Get ready for some monster-sized mayhem! Fortnite's Version 33.20 update, dropping January 14th, introduces the King of the Monsters himself: Godzilla. This isn't just a skin; expect Godzilla to appear as a formidable NPC boss, potentially alongside his arch-nemesis, King Kong.

This epic crossover, part of Chapter 6 Season 1, adds to Fortnite's already impressive roster of guest characters, which includes everyone from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Wonder Woman. Players can unlock two Godzilla skins, based on his evolved form from "Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire," starting January 17th for Battle Pass holders. Speculation is already rife about which other Godzilla iterations might appear as future skins.

The update, slated for release on January 14th, will likely initiate server downtime around 4 AM PT, 7 AM ET, and 12 PM GMT. A recent trailer hints at extensive Monsterverse-themed content, including Godzilla's destructive rampage across the Fortnite island. The fleeting appearance of a King Kong decal suggests Kong might also be involved as a boss character, setting the stage for an epic Kaiju clash.

Fortnite veterans are no strangers to colossal threats – Galactus, Doctor Doom, and The Nothing have all wreaked havoc. Godzilla promises to be another unforgettable challenge. Following the dust settles, rumors suggest future collaborations with the TMNT and Devil May Cry could be on the horizon.
