Mastering Gem Crafting in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Gems are crucial in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, providing significant combat advantages. This guide details how to acquire and craft these powerful items.

Unlocking Gem Crafting:

To begin crafting Gems, you must first progress to Chapter 1 and join Liu Bei's Volunteer Army. Visit an Inn; you'll receive a letter from Zhang Fei introducing Gems and their raw material, Pyroxene.

Acquiring Pyroxene:

Pyroxene is found throughout the game world as large, gem-like formations. These spawn randomly, so explore the overworld between battles. Additionally, Pyroxene can be obtained as rewards for side quests, collecting Old Coins, and reading letters at Inns.

Crafting Gems:

Once you've gathered Pyroxene, return to an Inn to begin crafting. The crafting process is randomized. The number of Pyroxene used doesn't affect the outcome; the result is always random. However, a white glowing aura around a Gem type in the crafting menu indicates that only Gems of that type can be created during that crafting session.

Gem Leveling:

Repeatedly crafting a specific Gem type will increase its effectiveness. These enhancements provide various combat buffs. Since only one Gem can be equipped initially, carefully consider which Gem best suits your combat strategy. For example, the Wellspring Gem's health regeneration is ideal against large enemy groups, while the Ascendence Gem's improved block chance is better suited for officer duels. While initially small, these buffs become increasingly impactful over time.

Availability:

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
