"Delicious: The First Course Explores Gamehouse's Culinary Mascot Origins"

When it comes to delightfully sweet culinary simulators, whether you view them as a guilty pleasure or a cherished pastime, few can rival Gamehouse's enduring Delicious series. Now, fans can dive into the latest installment, Delicious: The First Course, and uncover the origins of the beloved mascot, Emily, as she embarks on her culinary journey.

For those well-versed in the Delicious series, the gameplay in The First Course will feel comfortably familiar. But if you're new to the franchise, prepare to immerse yourself in the quintessential restaurant simulation experience. Drawing inspiration from classics like Diner Dash, you'll be tasked with juggling various time-management challenges to keep your restaurant running smoothly.

As you progress, you'll transition from modest eateries to upscale haute cuisine establishments, engaging in unique minigames and progressively upgrading your restaurant. Hire staff, revamp the decor, and enhance your equipment to prevent your dream kitchen from becoming a culinary nightmare.

Simply Irresistible

It's been noted that one of the key innovations in many popular casual mobile games is the inclusion of more narrative elements. Wooga, for instance, has emphasized that the story events in June's Journey play a significant role in keeping their audience engaged, perhaps even more so than the gameplay itself.

It's no wonder, then, that Gamehouse, which has chronicled Emily's evolution from a solo restaurateur to a happily married family woman, has chosen to revisit the roots of the series with Delicious: The First Course. This return to basics follows a series of creative twists on the original formula.

You can get your hands on Delicious: The First Course when it launches on January 30th, as per its iOS listing. In the meantime, if you're craving more culinary adventures, why not explore some of our top picks for cooking games on iOS and Android?
