Destiny Child is Reborn: A New Idle RPG from Com2uS
Destiny Child, the popular mobile game, is making a triumphant return! Initially released in 2016 and archived in September 2023, the game is being revived by Com2uS, taking over development from ShiftUp.
Will it be the same?
Not exactly. Com2uS has partnered with ShiftUp to create a brand-new Destiny Child experience – an idle RPG. Development is being spearheaded by Com2uS's Tiki Taka Studio, known for their work on the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics. While retaining the beloved 2D character art and emotional core of the original, the new game will feature entirely new gameplay mechanics.
Remember the Memorial Version?
The original Destiny Child, celebrated for its charming characters and real-time battles, concluded its run after almost seven years. However, ShiftUp released a memorial version, allowing players to revisit the game's stunning artwork.
This memorial app, accessible only to players with pre-shutdown accounts (requiring verification), lets you admire the character illustrations and reminisce about your Childs. While battles are unavailable, the memorial preserves the characters and their classes, offering a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Download it from the Google Play Store and enjoy the art before the new game launches.
