Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

Author : Owen Mar 28,2025

Following the buzz around their new game, Project C4, ZA/UM has now unveiled an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, exclusively for Android devices. The studio's aim is to introduce the game to a fresh audience while offering current fans a convenient, on-the-go gaming experience. To achieve this, ZA/UM will release the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free on mobile, with the option to unlock the full game with a one-time payment, ensuring an ad-free experience.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase." The studio, which now includes both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, is dedicated to delivering a high-quality mobile experience that reflects their serious approach to both roles.

Studio head Denis Havel shared an ambitious vision for the mobile version, targeting the TikTok audience. "We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment," Havel explained.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new, immersive 360-degree scenes designed to place mobile users directly into the heart of Revachol. The game also features brand new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the character-rich experience.

Here’s the official description:

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," tailored for short bursts of play.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It's important to note that while the studio retains the same name, many key contributors to the original Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Numerous former ZA/UM members have departed the studio since the game's release, and some are now working on spiritual successors.
