Dune Awakening Trailer Showcases the Wonders of Arrakis

Funcom has recently released an exciting new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their highly anticipated multiplayer survival game set within the iconic universe of Frank Herbert's "Dune." The trailer emphasizes the vast and challenging deserts of Arrakis, giving players a sneak peek into the myriad of opportunities and obstacles they'll encounter.

In Dune: Awakening, exploration is not just an option—it's essential for survival. Players are tasked with traversing the treacherous dunes to collect vital resources needed to craft shelters and vehicles, including the formidable combat-ready ornithopters. To streamline the resource-gathering process, players can employ a scanner, and by strategically placing probes on high ground, they can uncover crucial points of interest across the map.

These points of interest include everything from crashed spacecraft to deserted outposts. Accessing these locations often demands creativity and the right tools. Players will rely on equipment such as grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear to reach their goals. All these items can be enhanced at the player's base using modular components, ensuring that adventurers are always equipped to face the perils of Arrakis.

The early access launch of Dune: Awakening is slated for May 20, and it will be available exclusively on PC. Console enthusiasts can look forward to versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at a later date. In the lead-up to the launch, players have the opportunity to create their characters and evaluate their system's performance with the benchmark tool available on Steam.

Don't miss out—mark your calendars for the early access debut of Dune: Awakening on Steam on May 20. The game's Steam page is already equipped with a character editor and performance-testing tools, setting the stage for an immersive experience. The full release will eventually extend the adventure to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, bringing the world of Arrakis to an even wider audience.
