Dunhuang Culture Comes Alive in Tears of Themis' Ballad of the Dunes Event

Author : Hazel Mar 26,2025

Tears of Themis has unveiled an enchanting collaboration event titled "Ballad of the Dunes," partnering with the Culture & Tourism in Gansu Province, China. This event, inspired by the legendary Silk Road and the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, offers players a unique chance to dive into a narrative woven with threads of ancient history. Running from February 13th to 20th, participants can engage in tasks to earn rewards like Camel Bells, S-Chips, and more.

During the Ballad of the Dunes event, players can use Camel Bells to flip cells and uncover various prizes, including the highly anticipated new limited MR cards. The event is structured in four rounds, allowing you to select one of these new MR cards as a final reward after each round. Upon flipping 100 cells, you'll unlock the exclusive Celebration Dunes Namecard. The newly introduced MR cards beautifully depict the four male leads in designs inspired by Dunhuang’s artistic traditions:

  • Luke’s “In the Footsteps of Silk”
  • Artem’s “Serenade of the Soul”
  • Vyn’s “Reverberation Through Time”
  • Marius’ “Void of Creation”

These cards incorporate motifs from Silk Road history, such as flying apsaras and the iconic pipa played behind the back from Dunhuang murals. The Private Messages exchanged between characters further enrich the narrative with cultural exchanges, making the event a truly immersive experience.
