Sony and HBO have officially announced that The Last of Us will return for a third season. While no release date has been set, production is slated to begin this summer. It's important to note that this renewal does not signal the development of a third game in the series. Naughty Dog is currently focused on their new project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
