Dustbunny: Emotion to Plants Is a Therapeutic Sim, Out Now

Dustbunny: Emotion to Plants, a charming new Android game, tackles sensitive personal issues in a unique and engaging way. The game begins with a meeting with Empathy, a gentle rabbit guide who leads you through your own mental landscape.

Developed by Antientropic, this therapeutic simulation game lets you create a personalized sanctuary. It blends cozy room decoration with a deeply personal emotional journey, drawing inspiration from the creative director's experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Key Features of Dustbunny: Emotion to Plants:

The game starts in a serene, empty room. You collect "emotibuns," small, shy creatures representing hidden emotions. Nurturing these emotibuns transforms them into beautiful plants, symbolically illuminating your inner world. Your room gradually fills with diverse plants—monsteras, philodendrons, alocasias, and even rare hybrid unicorns—reflecting your progress and growth.

Numerous minigames and activities enhance your connection with your room and plants. Engage in activities like paper airplane flying, customizing Cup Ramyun flavors, and playing retro Game Boy games. These activities provide energy and collectibles to aid plant care. Over 20 care cards offer various actions, including watering, misting, and observation, with a variety of tools at your disposal.

A Personal Journey with a Social Element:

The "Doors" feature allows you to personalize your in-game door with symbols and stickers, representing your unique journey. Visiting other players' doors enables sharing experiences and leaving encouraging messages.

Empathy's guidance and activities are rooted in compassion-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques, promoting self-care, self-acceptance, and self-love. The game offers stickers and designs to express thoughts in a calming and enjoyable manner.
