Efficiency enhances five tool types: Pickaxes, Shovels, Axes, Hoes, and Shears. It significantly speeds up block breaking, but only for the materials each tool is designed to mine (e.g., an axe is faster on trees, not stone).
Efficiency has five levels:
- Level I: +25% block-breaking speed
- Level II: +30% block-breaking speed
- Level III: +35% block-breaking speed
- Level IV: +40% block-breaking speed
- Level V: +45% block-breaking speed (the incremental benefit from IV to V is minimal).
