FFXIV Welcomes Back Players with Extended Free Trials

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has reinstated its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, offering a four-day free trial to eligible players with inactive accounts. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is accessible across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

This generous offer allows players to revisit Eorzea at no cost, particularly timely following the release of Patch 7.15, which introduced new side quests, including the continuation of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. The campaign follows Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message, confirming the upcoming release of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates. Yoshida also teased future developments in the Dawntrail main storyline, sparking much player speculation.

The Free Login Campaign commenced on January 9th, 2025, at 3:00 AM Eastern Time, and concludes on February 6th, 2025, at 9:59 AM Eastern Time. The four-day playtime begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account, marked inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations are ineligible.

Square Enix encourages players to verify their eligibility and account details through the Mog Station. While the Free Login Campaign is active, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (ending January 16th), earning a unique minion reward. Patch 7.16, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series, launches on January 21st.

This Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the arrival of Patch 7.2, leaving much anticipation for the unfolding narrative in 2025.
