Get ready for some bubbly battles! Square Enix has revealed that their 4v4 competitive shooter, Foamstars, will transition to a free-to-play model this October. This exciting news means players can jump into the action without needing to purchase the game.

No More PS Plus Required Starting October 4th

Foamstars Free-to-Play and PS Plus Update

The change, effective October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC, removes the need for a PlayStation Plus subscription to play. Foamstars, previously priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, will be available for free download.

Exclusive Gift for Existing Players

As a thank you to players who purchased Foamstars before the switch, Square Enix will offer a "Legacy Gift." This special in-game bundle includes:

12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
1 exclusive Slide Board
The "Legacy" title
