FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam based on initial player reviews. The game's unique selling point is its innovative use of fragment-cards. These dynamically alter gameplay mid-match, creating diverse and unpredictable battles. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting each other, and adding a strategic layer to the core FPS experience.
Players can select from 13 unique launchers, each possessing special abilities, catering to both collaborative and solo playstyles. FragPunk allows players to showcase individual skills within online matches.
However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced an unforeseen delay for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Initially scheduled for March 6th, the console release was postponed two days prior to launch due to unspecified technical issues. A new release date is yet to be announced, but the developers assure players of continued updates.
