Freedom Wars Remaster Gameplay Details Revealed

Freedom Wars Remastered: Enhanced Gameplay and New Features Unveiled

A new trailer for Freedom Wars Remastered showcases the game's improved gameplay and control systems, offering a compelling blend of action RPG elements within a dystopian setting. Players engage in intense battles against mechanical creatures known as Abductors, collect valuable resources, upgrade their equipment, and complete challenging missions to contribute to their Panopticon, their respective city-state. This engaging loop of combat, resource gathering, and upgrade is reminiscent of the Monster Hunter series, but with a unique futuristic twist.

The remastered version boasts significant enhancements. Visually, the game receives a substantial upgrade, with PS5 and PC versions running at 4K (2160p) resolution at 60 frames per second (FPS). PS4 players can enjoy 1080p at 60 FPS, while the Switch version maintains 1080p at 30 FPS. Beyond the visual improvements, gameplay is faster-paced thanks to refined mechanics, including increased movement speed and improved attack cancellation.

Crafting and upgrading systems have been completely overhauled, offering more intuitive interfaces and the ability to attach and detach modules freely. A new module synthesis feature allows players to enhance their equipment using resources obtained from rescued citizens. For seasoned players, a challenging new difficulty mode, "Deadly Sinner," has been added. Furthermore, all original customization DLC from the PS Vita version is included from the outset.

The trailer introduces the protagonist, a Sinner condemned for the crime of being born, thrust into a world depleted of resources. Missions range from rescuing civilians and eliminating Abductors to securing control systems, offering both solo and online co-op gameplay options. Freedom Wars Remastered launches January 10th on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC.
