The Game Awards 2024: A Look at the Nominees and Where to Watch

Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 has unveiled its nominees across 19 competitive categories, culminating in the coveted Game of the Year (GOTY) award. This year's contenders represent a diverse range of gaming experiences, from AAA titles to indie darlings.

GOTY 2024: A Stellar Lineup

Seven nominations for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth lead the pack, but the GOTY race is far from decided. Other strong contenders include the innovative Astro Bot, the critically acclaimed Balatro, the visually stunning Black Myth: Wukong, the highly anticipated Metaphor: ReFantazio, and the divisive Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The voting period is now open, allowing fans to cast their votes until December 11th via The Game Awards' official website and Discord server.

Where and When to Watch the Awards Show

The Game Awards 2024 ceremony takes place on December 12th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be livestreamed on The Game Awards' website, as well as major platforms like Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
