Author : Sebastian Mar 27,2025

As the UK experiences a brief respite from the cold, with temperatures dipping back to near freezing, and many other places struggling with the arrival of spring, Genshin Impact's upcoming 5.5 update, "Day of the Flame's Return," promises to bring the heat you need. Set to launch on March 26th, this update introduces an exciting new volcano area in Natlan, complete with a hidden city and much more.

The highlight of the update is the Great Volcano of Tollan, where players can explore the newly accessible Sacred City of Tollan. This ancient Dragonborn-built structure holds the secrets of the Flamelord's Blessing, waiting to be uncovered as you delve into its depths.

But the update isn't just about lava and magma. The final tribe of Natlan, the Tribe of Plenty, makes its debut, alongside a new Saurian creature, the Tatankasaurus. This powerful beast has the strength and size to shatter enormous rocks, adding a thrilling new element to your adventures.

Genshin Impact 5.5 Update - Day of the Flame's ReturnWhile the volcano presents its dangers, you won't have to face them alone. The 5.5 update introduces two new characters to aid you on your journey. Varessa, a five-star Electro Catalyst user, unleashes massive Electro damage, while Iansan, a four-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of the six heroes of Natlan, boosts attack damage and heals her allies.

Alongside these exciting additions, the update brings a new seasonal event, the Tournament of Glory in Bloom, as well as Event Wishes and more, all set to debut on March 26th. Get ready to dive back into Natlan with Genshin Impact's version 5.5, "Day of the Flame's Return."
