Google Play Store Might Soon Auto-Launch Installed Apps For You

Google Play Store's Potential Game Changer: Auto-Launching Downloaded Apps

Ever downloaded an app and promptly forgotten about it? While I haven't, Google Play Store might have the answer. A new feature in development could automatically launch apps upon installation.

The Details

Android Authority reports Google is developing a feature to streamline app installation. This would eliminate the need to manually locate and open newly downloaded apps. The app will open immediately after a successful download.

This "App Auto Open" feature, discovered through an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19, remains unconfirmed. No official announcement or release date exists. However, the feature is expected to be entirely optional, allowing users to enable or disable auto-launch as desired.

How it might work: Upon completion of an app download, a notification banner (lasting approximately 5 seconds) will appear. A sound or vibration may accompany the notification, ensuring visibility even amidst other activities.

Important Note: This information is unofficial. We'll provide updates as soon as Google releases official details.
