The arrival of Marvel Rivals on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, now appears increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the upcoming console could alter that reality.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The key challenge remains optimizing performance on the new hardware:
"The first-generation Switch lacked the power for the gameplay experience we envisioned. However, if the Switch 2 can handle it, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major game publishers are expressing strong interest. Phil Spencer has suggested Xbox's intent to bring its titles to the platform, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown its support.
Further expansion for Marvel Rivals is planned, with the addition of two Fantastic Four members anticipated in future updates.
