Mask Around: The Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch!
Remember 2020's bizarre yet captivating roguelike platformer, Mask Up? Developer Rouli is back with a sequel, Mask Around, delivering even more of that signature weirdness.
Mask Around expands on its predecessor by adding 2D shooting mechanics to the mix. While the original focused primarily on brawling as a puddle of yellow goo, this sequel lets you seamlessly switch between gunplay and close-quarters combat. Your goo powers remain crucial, but now you have firearms to fall back on when your ooze supply runs low – particularly handy during intense boss battles.
Strategic Goo Management
The challenge lies in strategically managing your precious yellow goo reserves, deciding when to unleash your gooey powers and when to rely on your weaponry. The enhanced graphics add a polished layer to the already unique gameplay.
Mask Around is currently available on Google Play. While an iOS release hasn't been announced, this sequel appears to be a significant improvement over the original, expanding the gameplay while retaining the core mechanics that made Mask Up so memorable.
