Medabots Survivor brings the classic role-playing franchise to the bullet heaven genre

Author : Sarah Mar 14,2025

Medabot Survivors, a bullet-hell action game for fans of the classic robot role-playing series, is set to launch in Japan on February 10th for iOS and Android. For those who grew up in the shadow of Pokémon's immense popularity, Medabots will likely ring a bell.

As reported by Gematsu, this latest mobile entry in the franchise is, unfortunately, currently Japan-exclusive. While Medabots enjoyed significant success in Japan, it never quite achieved the same level of popularity in the West, unlike contemporaries like Digimon. Its enduring appeal in its home country is evident in this new Survivors-style game.

While the "Survivors-like" genre is relatively new to the global stage, Medabot Survivors' release highlights its growing popularity and global reach. The game's success in Japan could potentially pave the way for a future international release.

Medabot Survivors Gameplay

Many excellent Japanese games unfortunately remain unavailable internationally. However, the potential success of Medabot Survivors might encourage a wider release. For now, Japanese players can look forward to its February 10th launch.
