For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a celebrated Japanese run-and-gun series, originally launched in 1996 by Nazca Corporation and later expanded into a multimedia phenomenon. While the series has previously ventured into mobile gaming with titles like Metal Slug Defense (2014), Metal Slug Attack (2016), and Metal Slug Commander (2020), Awakening promises a significant upgrade.
