HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is making waves with its upcoming game, originally known as Astaweave Haven. This title, even before its official unveiling, is undergoing significant changes, including a name change to the much sweeter-sounding "Petit Planet."
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you might have already heard whispers about Astaweave Haven. While official details remain scarce, it appears this new game will mark a departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha adventures. Instead of the familiar formula, Petit Planet hints at a life-simulation or management game, drawing comparisons to titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
The name change itself is intriguing. "Petit Planet" sounds far more charming and aptly suggests a management sim rather than a gacha RPG.
Release Date Uncertainties
Currently, the game is still under development, with no official release date announced. While Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile platforms back in July, HoYoVerse recently (October 31st) registered the name "Petit Planet," awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's history of rapid releases (consider the quick succession of Zenless Zone Zero after Honkai: Star Rail), we can anticipate a relatively swift launch once the name change is approved. Hopefully, we'll soon see gameplay footage and learn more about Petit Planet.
