"Moustache-Wearing Cleaner Tackles Crime Scenes in Serial Cleaner"

Author : Madison May 17,2025

Serial Cleaner is a unique puzzle game that challenges you to clean up crime scenes and hide evidence, all while evading the police. If you recall, we first encountered this intriguing game back in 2019. Now, it's making a comeback, but the question remains: will this be a refined re-release or simply a straightforward modernization? Only time will tell.

The 70s, as depicted in cinema, were marked by urban decay, stylish street gangs, unexpected turkey falls, and menacing sharks at the beaches. Serial Cleaner captures this era with its grim yet quirky approach. In the game, you step into the shoes of Bob Leaner, a professional crime-scene cleaner tasked with disposing of bodies, cleaning blood stains, and erasing any traces of mob-related crimes—all while dodging the ever-present threat of law enforcement.

If this sounds familiar, it's because we reviewed the initial release of Serial Cleaner in 2019, thanks to Harry Slater. The general feedback was that it was promising yet somewhat unpolished. Now, with Plug-In Digital stepping in as the new publisher, there's an opportunity to revisit and enhance this puzzler for mobile platforms.

Serial Cleaner GameplayLet's get funkySerial Cleaner is now open for pre-registration and is set to relaunch on February 11th, 2025. While it's uncertain what changes will accompany this re-release, the mixed reception of the original suggests a prime chance for improvement. However, given the time elapsed since its debut, expecting significant enhancements might be overly optimistic.

The concept of Serial Cleaner remains highly engaging to me, though the prospect of it merely being reintroduced to mobile platforms slightly dampens my excitement. For those who missed playing it on Android or struggled with compatibility on newer iOS versions, this could be a welcome surprise.
