Nintendo's Japanese release of the Alarmo alarm clock has been delayed due to insufficient stock. This article provides details on the postponement and the future availability of the popular alarm clock.
Japanese Alarmo Launch Delayed
Nintendo Japan announced a postponement of the general retail release of the Alarmo, originally scheduled for February 2025. The delay is attributed to production and inventory challenges. The new release date remains unannounced. Currently, there's no indication of whether this will impact international availability, with a global public launch still planned for March 2025.
To address the immediate demand, Nintendo Japan will offer a pre-order system exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan. This pre-order period begins mid-December, with shipments anticipated in early February 2025. A precise pre-order start date will be announced separately.
The Nintendo Alarmo: A Popular Alarm Clock
Launched in October 2024, the Alarmo is an interactive alarm clock featuring iconic music from popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure, with more sounds promised via future updates.
Initial global sales, both online and in Nintendo stores, exceeded expectations. This led to the suspension of online orders and the implementation of a lottery system. The Alarmo quickly sold out in Japanese Nintendo stores and even the New York flagship store.
Keep an eye out for further updates regarding pre-orders and the rescheduled general sale in Japan.
