Which Nintendo Franchise Deserves a LEGO Set the Most in 2025?

Author : Scarlett Mar 28,2025

Nintendo and LEGO have already delighted fans with some fantastic collaborations, such as the dynamic Mario and Yoshi set and the inaugural Legend of Zelda set released last year. These sets have been a hit, but as a fan of both LEGO and Nintendo, I'm eager for more. With a plethora of iconic franchises under Nintendo's belt, the possibilities for new LEGO sets are endless. Currently, the majority of the sets revolve around Mario (including Donkey Kong) and Animal Crossing, leaving many other beloved series untapped. For fellow enthusiasts, the question arises: which Nintendo franchise should be next in line for a LEGO set?

With the excitement surrounding the upcoming Switch 2, the anticipation for new Nintendo content is palpable. It's likely that we'll see more LEGO Nintendo sets as the company continues to expand into movies, such as the new Mario movie and the anticipated live-action Zelda, and with the release of new Switch games. Which franchises do you think could realistically get the LEGO treatment in 2025 or beyond? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Personally, I believe Metroid would translate beautifully into LEGO sets. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, it's the perfect time to introduce some stunning builds that I'd be eager to purchase. Additionally, I'd love to see actual LEGO Pokémon sets, though I understand this might be challenging due to existing licensing agreements with Mattel and The Pokémon Company.
