Pokemon Go Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres Dynamax Forms Will Be Available One Week at a Time

Get Ready for Dynamax Legendary Birds in Pokémon GO!

From January 20th to February 3rd, the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will appear in their Dynamax forms in Pokémon GO! This exciting event offers players a chance to catch these powerful Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Dynamax Legendary Birds

A Week-Long Rotation:

Each legendary bird will be featured in five-star Max Raids at Power Spots for one week:

  • Dynamax Articuno: January 20th
  • Dynamax Zapdos: January 27th
  • Dynamax Moltres: February 3rd

Following their initial appearance, these legendary Pokémon will remain available for an entire week.

Legendary Flight Timed Research:

A special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" event will run concurrently, offering opportunities to catch Pokémon (including Shiny Pokémon!), earn Candy, and collect Max Particles. The research will be available in the following windows (local time):

  • Dynamax Articuno: January 17th, 10:00 am – January 20th, 7:00 pm (featuring Charmander, Beldum, and Scorbunny)
  • Dynamax Zapdos: January 24th, 10:00 am – January 27th, 7:00 pm (featuring Drilbur, Cryogonal, and Grookey)
  • Dynamax Moltres: January 31st, 10:00 am – February 3rd, 7:00 pm (featuring Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble)

Victini Returns with Pokémon GO Tour: Unova:

Pokémon GO Tour: Unova is also underway! While the in-person event is location-specific, global players can upgrade their free Tour Pass to a Deluxe Pass for enhanced rewards and faster progression.

A free Tour Pass will be available to all players on February 24th, 2025, at 10:00 am (local time), offering rewards until March 2nd, 6:00 pm (local time). Upgrading to the Deluxe Pass unlocks Mythical Pokémon Victini and the Lucky Trinket, allowing for a single Lucky Trade with a friend.

Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Rewards
