Pokémon Go sees the return of Team Go Rocket for Fashion Week and Ho-Oh’s Shadow Raid Day

Author : Natalie Mar 22,2025

Get ready for Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over, running from January 15th to 19th! This stylish event brings exciting challenges and new Pokémon. Rescue Shadow Palkia by battling Team GO Rocket leader Giovanni, and don't miss Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th for a chance to catch a Shiny Ho-Oh.

Two new Pokémon debut: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Team GO Rocket will be more active at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample opportunities to purify your Shadow Pokémon using Charged TMs to remove Frustration.

New Shadow Pokémon join the fray: Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby—some may even be Shiny! For the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to participate in Shadow Raids, regardless of location.

ytA special research task rewards you with a Super Rocket Radar to battle Giovanni and save Shadow Palkia. Field Research tasks offer Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs, while completing a Collection Challenge grants Stardust and a Trubbish encounter.

Don't forget to redeem your Pokémon GO codes!

Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day takes place on January 19th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Enjoy increased Raid Pass availability, boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rates, and the chance for your Ho-Oh to learn Sacred Fire. A $5 event ticket unlocks even more rewards.
