The Adventure Week event is making a thrilling return to Pokémon GO in 2024, bringing with it a host of exciting in-game rewards. Following the conclusion of July's events, players have much to look forward to.
What’s In Store?
Adventure Week in Pokémon GO kicks off on Friday, August 2nd at 10 am and continues until Monday, August 12th. This event is all about Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, offering numerous opportunities to catch these robust and ancient creatures in the wild. You can also hatch them from 7 km Eggs and encounter them through specially themed Field Research tasks.
A major highlight this year is the increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, such as Aerodactyl. Other Rock-type Pokémon like Diglett and Bunnelby will also appear more frequently in the wild. If luck is on your side, you might even come across an Aerodactyl during your adventures.
The 7 km Eggs are another exciting feature, hatching into Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Completing the themed Field Research tasks not only offers encounters with these Pokémon but also rewards you with Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.
Spinning PokéStops during Adventure Week will grant you double XP in Pokémon GO, with an impressive five times XP for the first spin of the day. If you enjoy hatching Pokémon, you'll be pleased to know you'll earn double XP for that as well.
What Else Is New?
Adventure Week will also introduce new PokéStop Showcases and Collection Challenges, rewarding players with Stardust, encounters, and additional Mega Energy for Aerodactyl. The event will feature five-star raids with Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas.
Additionally, Poplio will be the star of August's Community Day. There will also be a Classic Community Day and a special Pokémon World Championship event. So, prepare for an adventurous week and download the game from the Google Play Store.
