Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Dropping a Trade Feature and Space-Time Smackdown Expansion Soon

Get ready for exciting updates to Pokémon TCG Pocket! Trading is finally here, alongside the highly anticipated Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Prepare to swap cards with friends within the game itself.

Pokémon TCG Pocket: Space-Time Smackdown and Trading Launch Dates

Trading arrives on January 29th, 2025, followed by the Space-Time Smackdown expansion on January 30th. This update also introduces stylish new binder and display board covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

Trading Details

The long-awaited trade feature requires two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Currently, only cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions (rarity levels 1-4 and ★1) are tradeable. More cards will be added in future updates.

Space-Time Smackdown Expansion

This expansion focuses on the Sinnoh region, introducing two new booster packs featuring the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, plus updated card artwork. Lucario, and the beloved Sinnoh starters—Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup—also join the roster. For a complete overview, watch the video below.
