Purple: New Mobile Game from Bart Bonte Gearing for Release

Author : Hazel Feb 23,2025

Bart Bonte's latest brain teaser, simply titled "Purple," is now available on Google Play and the App Store. This microgame collection, part of a color-themed series, features over 50 uniquely challenging levels.

Following the color-naming convention of its predecessors (Yellow, Red, Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Orange), Purple delivers a visually stunning experience with its purple-centric graphics and custom soundtrack. The gameplay consists of a rapid-fire succession of short, self-contained puzzles, reminiscent of Warioware. Examples include aligning number 3s and navigating mazes. The focus isn't on extreme complexity, but rather on inventive challenges and a brisk pace.

The game's art style evokes an Art Nouveau feel, enhanced by its captivating soundtrack. While the simplicity might not appeal to everyone, the quick, engaging puzzles, coupled with the pleasing visuals and music, offer a compelling experience. Whether Purple will garner awards like Bonte's previous titles remains to be seen.
