Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence

Ubisoft has announced a delay for both Rainbow Six Mobile and Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, pushing their release dates beyond Ubisoft's fiscal year 25 (FY25), which ends in April 2025. This means players will likely have to wait until at least after April 2025 to experience these highly anticipated mobile titles.

The decision, detailed in a recent business document, aims to minimize competition within the already saturated tactical shooter market. Ubisoft seeks to optimize its key performance indicators (KPIs) by launching the games at a more opportune time, avoiding a crowded release window. This strategy prioritizes a strong initial market performance.

ytStrategic Move or Disappointment?

The delay comes despite the games reportedly being near completion. The company's focus is on strategically navigating the competitive landscape, rather than rushing the releases.
