Romancing SaGa Re:universe Ends Service Announcement

Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release.

Two Months Remain

In-app purchases and Google Play Point exchanges ended September 29th, 2024, following the last maintenance. Players have until December to enjoy the game's remaining content.

The global version, launched in June 2020, received a mixed reception despite its impressive graphics, sound design, and generous gacha mechanics. A key factor contributing to its closure was the lack of significant content updates compared to the Japanese version. The absence of updates like Solistia and 6-star units, available in Japan for nearly a year, ultimately disappointed many global players.

Community Feedback

This closure follows Square Enix's shutdown of several other mobile titles in 2024, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games.

Romancing SaGa Re:universe, a turn-based RPG based on the classic SaGa series, offers players two final months to experience its unique gameplay. Download it now from the Google Play Store.
