How To Get Shiny Keldeo & Shiny Meltan in Pokemon Home

Author : George Mar 01,2025

Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later), but acquiring them requires completing specific tasks. While challenging, obtaining Shiny Keldeo is particularly rewarding, as it was previously unobtainable legitimately and Shiny-locked. Both Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan can then be transferred to other connected Pokémon games.

Unlocking Shiny Keldeo:

To receive Shiny Keldeo, complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Home. This includes Pokémon from Pokémon Sword & Shield, along with those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, these Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark (a slanted Poké Ball logo above their stats) indicating they originated from the Sword & Shield games or DLC. Completing the Pokédexes within Sword & Shield itself is insufficient. After completing the Pokédex, select "Mystery Gift" from the main menu (accessed via the three-line menu icon).

There's no time limit to claim Shiny Keldeo.

Unlocking Shiny Meltan:

Similarly, obtaining Shiny Meltan requires completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home using Pokémon marked with the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above stats), signifying their origin from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. Once complete, claim Shiny Meltan via the "Mystery Gift" option. Like Keldeo, there's no deadline.

Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues:

Mobile users experiencing Pokédex registration problems may resolve this by clearing the app's cache. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the app and select the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose "Clear Cache."
  3. Confirm by tapping "OK."

A confirmation message will appear upon successful cache clearing.

With Shiny Keldeo and Meltan secured, explore other Pokémon adventures! Consider checking out counters for Mega Tyranitar in Pokémon GO or redeeming current Pokémon GO promo codes for extra bonuses.
