Single-Player Action Game Tides of Annihilation Revealed During Sony’s State of Play 2025

Announced during Sony’s State of Play 2025, with a debut trailer below, Tides of Annihilation is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure game developed by Eclipse Glow Games. The game promises a blend of intense, breakneck combat, an immersive narrative, and an unforgettable setting.

Set in a modern-day London ravaged by mystical, otherworldly forces, players take on the role of Gwendolyn. Explore London’s iconic landmarks, summon spectral Knights of the Round Table to aid in combat, and battle enemies inspired by Arthurian mythos—including colossal skyscraper-sized bosses!

Eclipse Glow Games, a new Chengdu, China-based studio backed by Tencent, boasts a team of over 100 developers with experience on titles such as Yakuza, For Honor, Assassin’s Creed, Persona, and Prince of Persia.

“Debuting Tides of Annihilation at Sony’s State of Play is an incredible honor for the Eclipse Glow team,” said Kun Fu, Lead Game Producer. “This is just the beginning. We’ve crafted a world reimagining Arthurian legend, where courage, loyalty, and heroism intertwine in an epic story set in a strangely familiar London. It’s a challenge designed to test the mettle of true gamers and push the genre forward.”

Here’s the official synopsis:

Tides of Annihilation is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure set in a twisted version of modern London, cataclysmically altered by an otherworldly invasion. As Gwendolyn, humanity’s last hope, players embark on a legendary quest through iconic London locales to unravel a mystery that will decide the fate of reality. Battle alongside summonable spectral knights, facing hordes of enemies, unforgettable bosses, and navigating vertical levels dominated by gigantic roaming knights.
