In the midst of CES 2025 excitement, Sony has thrilled PlayStation 5 enthusiasts with the announcement of the new Midnight Black Collection. This collection introduces four sophisticated accessories, each designed to enhance the gaming experience with a sleek, dark aesthetic. Initially, the PlayStation 5 came with the iconic white DualSense controller, but Sony quickly expanded its palette with the Midnight Black version, followed by vibrant options like Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, Galactic Purple, and various Chroma variants.

The Midnight Black Collection transforms essential PS5 accessories into a stylish dark mode, appealing to gamers who prefer a more subdued look. This collection not only offers a visual upgrade but also aligns with rumors of a significant upgrade to the PlayStation VR2 headset, adding more incentive for gamers to invest in Sony's latest technology.

Sony's new Midnight Black Collection includes the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. While rumors of a Midnight Black DualSense controller circulated as early as 2020, with its official release in June 2021, the new Edge controller brings a modern twist and includes a sleek black carrying case. The pricing remains consistent with expectations, with the DualSense Edge controller, PlayStation Portal, and Pulse Explore earbuds all priced at $199.99, and the Pulse Elite headset at $149.99.
