S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers four distinct endings, determined by player choices in three key missions: Subtle Matter, Dangerous Liaisons, and The Last Wish. Conveniently, these missions occur late in the game, allowing players to save before Legends of the Zone and explore all endings without extensive replays.
She Will Never Be Free
- Subtle Matter: Choose "Life is for the living."
- Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "[Escape]."
- The Last Wish: Choose "[Fire]."
This ending aligns with Strelok's goal of protecting the Zone. Players must antagonize all other factions: reject Scar, flee from Korshunov, and eliminate Kaymanov.
Project Y
- Subtle Matter: Choose "Life is for the living."
- Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "[Escape]."
- The Last Wish: Choose "[Lower the Gun]."
Similar to the previous ending, but instead of killing Kaymanov, players spare him, siding with his scientific approach of observing the Zone's natural evolution.
Today Never Ends
- Subtle Matter: Choose "Eternal spring."
- Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "[Escape]."
- The Last Wish: No specific choice required for this ending.
This ending involves supporting Scar and the Spark faction. The player's choices in only two of the three key missions determine this outcome.
Brave New World

- Dangerous Liaisons: Choose "I'm not your enemy."
- The Last Wish: No specific choice required for this ending.
This ending results from aligning with Colonel Krushunov and The Ward, leading to the destruction of the Zone. Like the Spark ending, only two missions' choices impact this outcome.
