Star Wars: New Figure Emerges in Jedi Power Battles

Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles Adds Playable Jar Jar Binks and More!

Aspyr has unveiled a surprising new playable character for the upcoming release of Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles on modern consoles: Jar Jar Binks! A new trailer showcases Jar Jar wielding a large staff in action-packed gameplay.

This isn't the only addition to the already impressive roster. Aspyr has announced nine other new playable characters, with more to come, expanding the original game's selection significantly. The updated Jedi Power Battles aims to recapture the nostalgia of the 2000 original while adding exciting new content. Features like customizable lightsaber colors and cheat code support further enhance the experience.

The trailer featuring Jar Jar Binks confirms his unique fighting style, utilizing a staff rather than a lightsaber, and showcasing his signature chaotic personality through distinctive voice lines. While some fans may have fantasized about a "Darth Jar Jar" scenario, this version stays true to the character's comedic nature.

Jar Jar Binks will be available when Jedi Power Battles launches on January 23rd. Pre-orders are open now!

Newly Revealed Playable Characters:

  • Jar Jar Binks
  • Rodian
  • Flame Droid
  • Gungan Guard
  • Destroyer Droid
  • Ishi Tib
  • Rifle Droid
  • Staff Tusken Raider
  • Weequay
  • Mercenary

Aspyr's commitment to expanding the playable character roster is evident. The additions offer a diverse range, including fan favorites like the Staff Tusken Raider and Rodian, alongside various droid types. The inclusion of both Jar Jar Binks and the Gungan Guard highlights the game's dedication to representing the full spectrum of Episode I characters.

With the launch just weeks away, players can soon experience these new additions firsthand. Aspyr's past work remastering classic Star Wars games, such as Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, suggests a promising update for Jedi Power Battles, aiming to satisfy the expectations of nostalgic fans.
