Stellar Blade DLC Update Encountered Snag

Author : Anthony Feb 26,2025

Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateStellar Blade's recent update, including the highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, unfortunately introduced several game-breaking bugs. However, developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

Patch 1.009, while delivering exciting new content, caused significant issues. Players reported being softlocked in a main quest within an earlier dungeon, preventing progression. Further, selfie cam usage in Photo Mode resulted in crashes for some, and new cosmetic items failed to render correctly on Eve.

Shift Up advises against attempting to force quest completion. Instead, they urge players to await the hotfix, as forceful attempts might lead to permanent softlocks even after the patch is released.

NieR: Automata DLC and Photo Mode Enhancements

Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateThe update boasts the NieR: Automata collaboration, a testament to the mutual respect and creative synergy between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Eleven exclusive items are available via Emil, who has established a shop within Stellar Blade's world.

The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.

Accompanying Photo Mode are four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory (unlocked after a specific ending) altering Tachy Mode's appearance, and a "No Ponytail" option for greater customization. Additional improvements include lip-sync support for six languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionality for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes for improved gameplay.
