Surprise! Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 is announced

Last year brought many gaming surprises, but Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 stands out as a particularly pleasant one. Its success clearly impressed Focus Entertainment, leading to the unexpected announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3! The teaser trailer confirmed the return of series protagonist, Captain Titus, for this thrilling threequel.

Saber Interactive, the studio behind the hugely popular Space Marine 2, is once again at the helm of development. While details on Space Marine 3 remain under wraps for now, the team promises to reveal more information in due course. In the meantime, Space Marine 2 players can look forward to continued support, including new co-op missions and a horde mode planned for release this year.

Beyond the Space Marine franchise, Saber Interactive has a busy development pipeline. They've recently revealed an action game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, incorporating a wave-based monster system reminiscent of Space Marine 2. Another exciting project in the works is Turok: Origins, promising intense dinosaur-filled battles.

It's remarkable to consider that Space Marine 2, released just last September (2024), has already amassed over five million players in a mere six months.
