After the opening section of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll have the freedom to explore and take on side quests. One such quest involves finding Vostatek's missing horse, Pepik, a task that yields rewarding results.
Begin by accepting the side quest "Lackey" from Zlata at Gamemaster Vostatek's house west of Tachov. Alternatively, you can speak to Vitek, as Zlata will direct you to him anyway. Vitek is located slightly southeast of the house (marked 'B' on the map above). This quest leads you north, where you'll find Vostatek under attack by wolves.

After rescuing Vostatek, he asks you to carry him to his campsite where he tethered Pepik. Follow his directions; be mindful of your stamina, as dropping Vostatek will set you back.
Upon reaching the campsite, you'll discover Pepik is gone. Follow the trail of clues, examining each one as you progress. This leads you to a poacher's camp.
Pepik has been taken by poachers. He's located at the back of their camp. Strategically engage the poachers; they move around, allowing you to fight them in smaller groups. The poachers at the camp's edge are easier targets, and some may surrender. You can also bypass the tougher poachers in the camp itself and escape with Pepik. Note that you won't have a chance to rest between finding Vostatek and Pepik.
Return Pepik to Vostatek's camp. You can choose to ride with him back to his home (a fast travel option). Your reward is Groschen and access to his home as a resting place.
With Pepik returned, you're free to continue other quests, pursue romance options, or purchase additional equipment with your well-earned Groschen.
