War Thunder's "Firebirds" Update Soars In With New Aircraft and More!
Gaijin Entertainment has announced the upcoming "Firebirds" update for War Thunder, arriving in early November. This major update boasts a wealth of new aircraft, ground vehicles, and warships, promising exciting gameplay additions.
New Aircraft Take Flight
Prepare for the arrival of iconic aircraft, including the stealthy American F-117 Nighthawk, the powerful Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the versatile F-15E Strike Eagle. These are just a few of the additions to the War Thunder skies.
The F-117A Nighthawk marks a significant milestone, being the first stealth aircraft in War Thunder. Its unique design, incorporating radar-absorbing materials and angled surfaces to deflect radar waves, made it a legendary ghost in the skies during Operation Desert Storm. This aircraft boasts an impressive combat record of over 1,200 sorties without a single loss.
In contrast to the stealthy Nighthawk, the F-15E Strike Eagle packs raw power. This upgraded F-15 variant features a significantly increased payload capacity (50% larger than its predecessor) and a ground target detection radar. Players will have access to a diverse arsenal, including AGM-65 Maverick missiles, laser-guided bombs, JDAMs, and even the GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs (allowing for the deployment of 20 bombs simultaneously).
Ground and Naval Forces Join the Fray
The "Firebirds" update isn't limited to the skies. Ground forces receive reinforcements with additions such as the British FV107 Scimitar light tank, while naval battles will see the introduction of the French battleship Dunkerque.
Aces High Season Continues
The new Aces High season is currently underway, offering players opportunities to unlock unique vehicles, earn trophies, and collect various rewards by completing the season and Battle Pass. Prizes include aircraft such as the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, powerful platoons like the T54E2 and G6, and ships like the HMS Orion and USS Billfish.
