Xbox Developer Direct 2025: January 23rd Showcase Announced
Microsoft has announced the next Xbox Developer Direct, scheduled for January 23rd, marking the first Xbox game showcase of 2025. This will be the third annual Xbox Developer Direct event, following the successful showcases in January 2023 and 2024.
The event, rumored earlier in January, is confirmed for January 23rd at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT and will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.
Confirmed Games for Xbox Developer Direct 2025:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, slated for a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
- Doom: The Dark Ages: id Software's latest entry in the Doom franchise, initially revealed in June 2024 and showcased at QuakeCon 2024. A mid-2025 release is currently speculated.
- South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (Contrast, We Happy Few), first announced in June 2023. A release date is anticipated.
While these three titles are confirmed, past Developer Directs have lasted over 40 minutes and featured multiple games. The 2024 event showcased titles like Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Visions of Mana. Therefore, additional unannounced titles are likely to appear during the January 23rd showcase.
