Adorable Feline Frolics in Toast-Fueled Adventure

A delightful new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is on its way to Android! The name itself is a clever blend of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's quirky premise.

Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers of Cato: Buttered Cat did, and the result is a perpetually spinning feline in a gravity-defying spectacle!

Initially conceived for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam competition (hosted by GCORES), Team Woll's creation received such positive feedback that they decided to develop it into a full game. Currently available on Steam for PC, it's soon to grace Android and other platforms. While the Google Play page isn't yet live, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page for the Android version.

Gameplay in Cato: Buttered Cat:

This puzzle platformer features a unique dual-control system: a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore whimsical worlds.

Explore five distinct worlds filled with quirky contraptions and machines. With a total of 200 levels (including side quests) and 30 different outfits, there's plenty to discover. The narrative unfolds gradually, revealed through pieces of the story hidden within the levels.

The interaction between the cat and the toast is a highlight. The cat possesses typical feline agility, while the toast functions as a projectile, allowing you to launch it to help the cat reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

The game also boasts hidden rooms and numerous Easter eggs. Check out the trailer below!

I eagerly await the Android release! In the meantime, check out our coverage of Operation Lucent Arrowhead, the Arknights x Rainbow Six Siege crossover.
