A new studio, Deploy Starship, is developing its first game: a sci-fi card game titled Starship Warbeasts. This upcoming free-to-play multiplayer title will launch on both PC and mobile platforms.
What’s new in the sci-fi card game Starship Warbeasts?
It’s a TCG inspired by genre classics like Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering, but with a fresh take on combat. Players will experience level-ups, dynamic combat abilities, and evolving strategies that unfold mid-battle.
You’ll take on the role of Lumens—space explorers who command Warbeasts. At the heart of the game are Warbeast cards, each representing a unique creature. Build five-member teams from a staggering 75,287,520 possible Warbeast combinations.
A wide array of spells, items, and level-up cards unlock new abilities during combat, and tactical options are deeply expansive. The game rewards players who plan ahead and adapt intelligently in the heat of battle.
The game’s universe spans at least ten planets, each teeming with its own unique Warbeasts. These worlds are locked in conflict over a rare resource, with the main storyline unfolding through in-game events.
What else is in store?
Beyond deck-building and battles, each of the ten planets introduces 25 distinct Warbeasts—from colossal beasts to spellcasters and alien entities.
A full campaign mode may be added in the future. Matthew Albright, founder of Deploy Starship, says the team wants Starship Warbeasts to capture the energy of high-octane cartoons.
Starship Warbeasts will feature full crossplay support across Steam, Android, and iOS. A 2026 release is expected, with the studio planning both public and private playtests ahead of launch.
The Google Play Store page for Starship Warbeasts isn’t live yet, but you can explore Deploy Starship’s sci-fi card game on Steam. Meanwhile, don’t miss our latest update on Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Bringing Its Scary ‘Safe Haven’ to Mobile.
