Community suggestions ranged from a Smash TV remake to titles inspired by Star Fox. Pilestedt confirmed prior internal consideration of a Smash TV remake and hinted at a Star Fox-esque project within the "rail game" genre.

A recent update to Helldivers 2 has significantly boosted player numbers. The Omens of Tyranny expansion, surprise-released at the 2024 Game Awards, has been well-received, particularly the long-awaited Illuminate enemy faction, the 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps. With a rumored Killzone crossover on the horizon, Helldivers 2 appears poised for continued success in 2025.
