In *Avowed*, Obsidian's latest RPG, the expansive world of the Living Lands can make the journey feel vast, but the main quest itself is relatively short. If you're wondering what to do once the credits roll, here’s what you can expect after beating *Avowed*.
Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?
For many RPG enthusiasts, diving back into a game with a New Game Plus mode, where you can replay the main quest on a higher difficulty with your accumulated skills and gear, is a thrilling prospect. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not feature New Game Plus at launch. However, there's hope on the horizon. The community has been vocal about wanting this feature, and Obsidian might consider adding it through a future update or DLC in response to player feedback.
Even without New Game Plus, replaying *Avowed* can still be rewarding. The game offers numerous choices that significantly impact both the story and gameplay. Creating a new save to explore different endings and experiment with various character builds can be a compelling reason to dive back into the Living Lands.
Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?

*Avowed* is divided into four main regions, plus a secret unnamed finale area and a return to one of the game's major cities (no spoilers here!). These final areas provide a challenging experience, where Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear are crucial for survival. However, this challenge doesn't extend to previously explored regions, and there are no new areas to unlock post-game. It's disappointing that you can't revisit the Living Lands to see the lasting effects of your decisions after the credits roll.
What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed
With no New Game Plus and limited endgame content, *Avowed's* post-game offerings might feel a bit thin. Once you complete the final encounter, you'll watch several minutes of animatic cutscenes that illustrate the consequences of your choices, providing a glimpse into how your decisions have shaped the world and its characters. After the cutscenes, you'll return to the Main Menu.
From there, you have two main options: start a new journey with a different Envoy or reload a previous save. You can access autosaves from just before the point of no return and before the final encounter, allowing you to replay these sections and make different choices to see varied story outcomes and endings.
Reloading to a point before the final stretch also lets you revisit earlier regions. You can clean up the map, complete any missed side quests, and collect items you might have overlooked. With your upgraded gear, revisiting early areas like Dawnshore can be particularly enjoyable, as the enemies won't scale to your level.
And that's what you can do after beating *Avowed*.
*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
