TouchArcade Rating:

Balatro, the acclaimed Poker-inspired roguelike from LocalThunk and Playstack, is making its mobile debut later this month! Launching on iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade on September 26th, this premium title will be available for $9.99 on iOS and Android, and as a "+" title on Apple Arcade.

Having already surpassed 2 million units sold across various platforms (PS5, Switch, Steam, PS4, and Xbox) in under six months, Balatro is poised for mobile success. Further enhancing the experience, a major free update is planned for 2025, introducing fresh gameplay mechanics and strategies.

Check out the mobile announcement trailer below:

For those unfamiliar with Balatro, my 5/5 Switch review provides a comprehensive overview. You can also find it featured among the best Switch games of 2024 in this article. An interview with LocalThunk about the game and its mobile adaptation is available here.

Pre-orders are open on the App Store (iOS) and pre-registration is available on Google Play (Android). The Apple Arcade version can be found here.
