IGN recently sat down with Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder and artist Nick Dragotta to discuss the latest developments. The duo highlighted Bane’s imposing physical presence and sharp intellect: “Bane, the one thing I'll say is he's really big. That's it,” Snyder stated. “People were like, ‘Oh, he's going to be small.’ He's not going to be small. We wanted someone who makes Bruce's silhouette look smaller.”
Absolute Batman #9 also introduces this universe’s versions of Dick Grayson—still on the cusp of becoming Robin or Nightwing—and the formidable Deathstroke, further expanding the evolving landscape of this alternate Gotham.
