Quematrice Weakness and Resistances

Weaknesses: Water Resistances: None Immunities: Sonic Bomb

The Quematrice, a large chicken-like monster, primarily attacks with fire. While most weapons are effective, its attacks often cover a wide area. Consider using a weapon with range for safer combat.

Key Attacks to Avoid:

  • Tail Slam: A powerful downward tail slam when you're behind it. Sidestep or block to mitigate damage.
  • Fire Attacks: These deal significant damage, inflict burning status (draining health), and can ignite the ground. These attacks have subtle cues; watch for the Quematrice rearing its head and roaring before unleashing fire from its tail or during a charging attack where it turns at the last second to fire. Maintain distance during these attacks.

Capturing the Quematrice

Capturing the Quematrice

To capture the Quematrice, you'll need:

  • Shock Trap
  • Pitfall Trap
  • Two Tranq Bombs (one is technically sufficient, but a backup is highly recommended)

Weaken the Quematrice until it limps. Monitor the mini-map for the skull icon disappearing. Once it's limping, lure it to a new area (this simplifies the capture process). Place your trap, lure the Quematrice into it, and throw two Tranq Bombs to secure the capture.
