The First Berserker: Khazan’s latest gameplay trailer offers an exciting glimpse into its challenging boss encounters, hinting at a potentially game-changing awakened form for the protagonist. Let's delve into the revealed boss fights and explore the possibilities surrounding Khazan's transformation.

The First Berserker: Khazan’s New Trailer Showcases Diverse Boss Fights

An Umbrella-Wielding Boss and More

IGN Fan Fest 2025 unveiled a thrilling trailer showcasing Khazan battling a variety of formidable foes. One standout encounter features a unique boss wielding an umbrella—a character seemingly significant to the main storyline, judging by the brief cutscene preceding the fight. While the HUD remains obscured, preventing detailed analysis of this encounter, the trailer also reveals two other notable bosses: Shactuka, a wolf-like creature, and the Specter of Bhangau, a ram-like beast armed with a hammer and spike.

Khazan's Awakened Form: A Potential Game Changer

The trailer hints at a spectacular transformation for Khazan, an "awakened" form that dramatically alters his appearance. Trading his usual samurai aesthetic for glowing red armor, this new form unleashes a flurry of devastating attacks utilizing a diverse arsenal of weapons.

While Khazan's standard combat options are already impressive, this awakened state appears to significantly enhance his speed and power. The trailer displays his mastery of combat mechanics, including projectile blocking, parrying, and rapid-fire combos. However, the bosses' seemingly high health and Khazan's relatively small damage output in this form highlight the Souls-like challenge the game intends to present.

While Neople has yet to officially confirm details about this awakened form, the trailer strongly suggests it will serve as a crucial mechanic for unleashing devastating damage and executing extended combo sequences.

The First Berserker: Khazan is currently available as a free demo on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, allowing players to experience the first two missions. The full game launches March 27, 2025, on these same platforms.
